Whispers Of Love

Lover whispers to my ear,
"Better to be a prey than a hunter.
Make yourself My fool.
Stop trying to be the sun and become a speck!
Dwell at My door and be homeless.
Don't pretend to be a candle, be a moth,
so you may taste the savor of Life
and know the power hidden in serving."

Rumi

meer,
with due respect to Behzaad and his poetic genius, dhuundnay tak to baat sahi hai, but har cheez ko parwana bana dainay wali Shamma "kahan" hai, ye sawal kuch baymehal hai.

Thanks for sharing, a beautiful couplet, nonetheless.

Haris,
So true....
THE tips, these are!

Thanks for dropping by :)

I thought it matched with the "Make yourself My fool" quote. Not that I claim of reasoning, but yes most times I am nearing or at that "baymehal".

Beymehal because its not the Shamma that is "kahan?", its the seeker, the moth who might be "kahan" in a land of dislocation. Shamma to "yahan" hi hai, because the space coordinates belong to IT.

space and time? immaterial and irrelevant in the gravity of this attraction. The predetaor can become the prey!
