How About You?

What do we count most in our lives? Income? Belongings? Assets? Years on the job? How often do we count what matters the most: Happiness?
And more importantly how often we are actually aware of what makes us happy?

Do your  you find your magic moments while panting, sweat trickling down your body, your feet clasped within your joggers? Or do the letters dancing on the leafs of the page add the zing to your life? Is it the aroma of freshly home baked brownie that makes you forget everything else? Does your home echo with the giggle of a toddler that brightens up your surroundings? Could it be that the mug of coffee that you prepare for your friend who has just stopped sobbing after lightening his/her heart in front of you, fills your soul with a priceless freshness? Do plants speak to you when you water your lawn early in the morning? Does your visit in your parents' old feet and rubbing them off their tiredness with a tender massage, revitalize your body?

I was prompted to write about what we could count on at the end of the day, and how often the rich are actually the unhappy poor. But just writing these lines down I completely forgot the flow of thoughts.....

Its an overpowering sense of gratitude that is invading my senses.........

Alhamdolillah.

How about you?

That reminds me of Bob Marley's retort, when a reporter had the temerity to ask him how wealthy he was...

"I rich in life," he said, in his broad, Jamaican accent.

Writing, walking, teaching yoga, photography, family, nature, creating, sharing, loving…
That is what counts for me…
Happiness is not measure by how much you have but for how much you enjoy what you have and who you are…

Lovely post

For me its meeting the rain, walking with it hand in hand and listening to its soothing whispers all along.

Seeing my mother smile beats all the other joys, though.

Nice post! :)

Aadil, Its such a pleasure to know other's sources of happiness, in many one finds a reflection of one's own happiness that one so conveniently forgets to register...

May you keep on having the joy of seeing your mother smile for ever and ever. I agree, nothing in this world is more precious than that!

Thankyou for stopping by :)
